Introduction
Plantation Collection Centre (PPL) is a clustered agriculture collection centre built in plantation areas. It aims to provide ways to reduce post-harvest damage and adds value through the process of grading, labelling and packaging so that the manufacturer would be able to bring in more profit.
In addition to that, the PPL also functions as a temporary depository, a market information centre, a marketing training centre, and a meeting place between manufacturers and buyers to facilitate and set the sales and purchase price.
Purpose
• Reduce post-harvest wastage through a proper post-harvest handling practice which includes grading, packaging and treatment of harvest.
• Adds agricultural produce value through downstream activity (processing).
• Collection and information flow through Fitting System of Supply and Demand (SDVI)
• Act as product development and marketing excellence centre
Scope Of FAMA Services
• Post harvest preparation facility such as grading equipment, packaging, treatment, storage and transportation.
• Market information collection and dissemination
• Centre for post-harvest technology transfer
• A meeting place between buyers and sellers via the Marketing Contract
• Temporary depository place

• Train and encourage manufacturers to market their own products

Target Groups
• Clustered producer groups (farmers and breeders) such as TKPM's participant, MoA Inc
• Private commercial groups project
• FAMA's contract marketing participants
• Manufacturer group from projects under the supervision of relevant government departments and agencies
Qualifications
It would depend on the suitability and potential of the projects and an approval from FAMA's State Office as well as an approval from FAMA's Head Office.
