Journal Policy

JABM publishes two times per year (January and July). JABM also publishes special issues on specific topics related to the journal's aims and scope. Abstracts and manuscripts must be readable and written in English. Full manuscripts should be submitted to the Managing Editor via email at jabm@fama.gov.my throughout the year. There is no submission and publication fee for Regular Issues. A proposal of a special issue is welcome for evaluation and possible arrangement for a special issue. The proposal should include the aims and scope of the theme, descriptions, relevant topics, and details of the guest editors.

All manuscripts are subject to a strict double-blind peer-review process by scholars of the same disciplines. Each corresponding author is required to submit the manuscript with a cover letter. Such a letter must declare the manuscript’s originality, data authenticity, and non-conflict of interest (see JABM Publishing Ethics). The Editorial team will review each manuscript at the initial stage and conduct a similarity check to decide if it will be sent to review. The manuscript that fails to comply with publishing ethics and submission guidelines will be rejected. The review process will generally take less than three months. The manuscript will be accepted for publication once it addresses the comments to the satisfaction of reviewers and passes the final checks by the Editor and Editorial team (including language, formatting, and type-setting).

All published articles are archived on FAMA‘s website and Google Scholar Citation to increase its visibility and readership. Updates about JABM, including the latest articles, will be posted on JABM’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/journal.abm periodically.
